Faith’s Journey

The Journey of
Faith Kungu
“I’m going to make my life beautiful, despite what happened to me. In other words, I’m saying, do not let rape define who you are and who you can become.”
– Faith Kungu
Faith Kungu moved to the United States from Kenya at age 23. She is a singer, a writer, a student, and a survivor of sexual assault. When Faith was nine years old, her school teacher raped her for the first time. The first time of many.
Today, inspired by one of her professors, and newly involved with a community of sexual assault survivors, Faith is an upcoming criminal justice professional and outspoken activist.
Watch how Faith’s powerful journey of resilience and recovery unfolds.
